High Volume Domestic dealer in Central Florida is looking for an experienced Service manager.
The Automotive Service Manager is the center of communication for all repair activities and the liaison between customers and the dealership. As the primary point of contact for all automotive service matters, the Service Manager’s core responsibility is to listen, thoroughly understand customer problems and to set/manage expectations. Through proactive oversight, the Service Manager leads a team of high-performance service professionals to consistently deliver world-class service to all customers
Some of What You’ll do:
- Create a welcoming experience for customers, encouraging repeat business and loyal customers.
- Oversee a safe, efficient, profitable service operation known for both high customer service and employee satisfaction.
- Manage a team of talented service technicians and service advisors.
- Nurture an enthusiastic work environment promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Promote professional development and advance training opportunities for employees as well as cross-training, to expand employee's knowledge and skill.
- Use your leadership skills to budget, forecast, set objectives and anticipate the needs of the business.
- Set the standard for excellent customer service by ensuring the needs of customers are met and problems are resolved quickly; enlisting manufacturer assistance when necessary.
- Build a repeat referral business, and encourage service employees to nurture positive relationships with customers.
- Oversee warranty claims and confirm warranty guidelines are being met
- Monitor and manage work in progress (WIP) with a shop foreman.
- Monitor CSI and ensure that each advisor is understanding what and how many surveys are needed.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a Franchised Automotive Dealership
- Proven track record of success
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional work ethic and high integrity
- Ability to work as a team and/or independently
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
