Position Description:    Final Inspection Specialist

Reports to: Detail/Service Manager 

Position Summary:  We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and quality-focused individual to join our team as a Final Inspection Specialist. The successful candidate is responsible for inspecting pre-owned vehicles prior to their release for sales. This position is part of our quality control process so attention to detail, the ability to clearly document found concerns, ensure all concerns are addressed and a willingness to learn and work in a team environment is essential. 

You will need to complete thorough vehicle inspections by obtaining an accurate assessment of the vehicle, and ensure the vehicle meets acceptable standards. Part of the inspection process requires a short test drive, thoroughly examining both interiors and exteriors to identify damages, discrepancies, and missing parts per inspection requirements.  The Final Inspection Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all vehicles leaving our facility meet the highest level of quality, safety, and reliability.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Inspect vehicles and ensure that they are Frontline ready according to company specifications.
  • Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
  • Accurately document findings on all units inspected.
  • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines

Educational: High school diploma or the equivalent. 

Experience: None. 

Special Skills (i.e., licenses, certifications, etc.): Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. General mechanical skills and manual dexterity. Good judgment. Basic computer skills. Current valid driver’s license.

 Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools. Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds of material. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle repair/reconditioning facility. Frequently, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Job Type/Requirements: Full time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Some Saturdays as needed. We provide a drug-Free workplace: Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, have 3 years driving experience and a clean driving record within the US. 

Salary: $15/hour
